Kroger - 5730 Seawall Blvd: Fresh Groceries and Exceptional Service in Galveston

I would like to thank Allen so much for helping me. He asked me did I find everything that I needed and I told him that I was looking for the Hot & Spicy Indomie noodles. Allen has went above and beyond to find those noodles for me. And he's also a respectable young man. Thank you once again!!!

I wish every Kroger was like this. They have everything you need. When you walk in the bakery is set up so beautifully with all types of desserts on display. They have fresh fruit bowls with tajin packets in them, fresh salads to go, super easy and helpful especially since the beach is across the street. The deli serves hot food plates. My kids loved the food, couldn’t get a pic because they tore into so fast. They also loved the chicken tenders. On Sunday they have bbq plates and soul food, 10/10. They sell water bottles and sodas for .69-$1. They have beach toys and necessities. In two days, I patronized this Kroger at least 7 times. The employees were friendly, I wish I remembered his name but it was a guy in the deli area that wears glasses. He literally greets every single person in his view.

The seafood DEAL section at this Kroger is better than any Kroger I've seen. Well duh because it's on the beach. They get a lot of left over wild catches from the fishermen. If you go here early, you'll score a lot of great DEALs that would have cost you twice as much at those boutique seafood stores (like Katie's Market).

I downloaded app yesterday and found a few things i wanted. My cart was rusty and super hard to push, I saw a manager who listened to me and walked away i guess it was not a priority. In town on vacation ~ A man stocking cheese was private vendor was friendly.

December 2025. First time visiting shoppers at Kroger. My wife now prefers Kroger over the nearby Walmart because of some selection differences. I'm familiar with Walmart grocery prices so I walked around and compared with Kroger. Overall the prices are a little higher but the selection is a little different. The Kroger specials can bring the price down to Walmart or even a little lower. So now we go to both Walmart and Kroger. The first visit there were checkout lines at both cashier and self checkout and I had to wait quite awhile. The second visit was a brief wait. Don't usually have to wait at Walmart.

Busy busy busy, we were there at 3 on a Tuesday and it was packed. Checkout was fairly quick but dang was it packed. Medium sized grocery store but they have everything. Deli was great with the boars head meats. Yumm. Clean store, helpful staff. Small parking lot and super busy store made me give it a 4 out of 5.

Love this store. It has the same products as other store in other locations but that one with all the beach, vacation products make feel that you are far far far from home.... The staff are very nice, and friendly. The line for Starbucks was very long as usual during the weekend and holidays (only 2 staff, they need to have more for that busy days. It was like 6:20pm saturday and was very crowded). The store inside was clean and organized. Outside in the parking was a little messy and the people going there (local &/or turist) they are no very clean and leave trash on the floor (same that they do not care).
